Constitution of India to be observed in Cachar district

SILCHAR: Constitution Day will be observed in Cachar district on Thursday. Issuing a letter in to this effect on Monday, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Cachar, Rajib Roy stated that as per communication received from Government of India, November 26 will be observed in Cachar district and this year the Prime Minister of India will read out the Preamble to the Constitution of India at 11 AM on that day.

It further stated that all offices of the state government, autonomous bodies, organisations, self government institutions and educational institutions will join the Prime Minister in reading the Preamble from their respective offices and locations.

Other activities including talks, webinars on constitutional values and fundamental principles of Indian Constitution will be organised strictly maintaining COVID-19 protocols as per the government instruction, stated a press release.
