Consumers Who Fail to Register their Mobile Number with APDCL May Be Barred from Electricity

GUWAHATI: Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) has asked its consumers to provide all personal details on its official website to serve in a better way.

Further, the APDCL have requested its consumers to register its mobile phone and to provide AADHA AR detail, email-id (if available),occupation etc in APDCL portal.

Mobile number registration would facilitate the consumer with your updated electricity bill, various bill payment options (including newer facility),notifications relating to shut-down and line restoration, its causes and duration etc. Further occupation details will enable to know your profile better way. Various benefits in connection with certain targeted occupation profile will be conveyed to you, once such information is readily available with us.

You are to upload the following data:

  1. NAME
  2. CONSUMER No.
  3. MOBILE No
  4. AADHAAR No. (if available)
  5. E-mail ID (if available)
  6. OCCUPATION

How do you upload the data online:

  1. Please go to APOCL'.s own website www.apdcl.org
  2. Go to the tab 'Upload Mobile Number' of the page. You willfind a new page.
  3. Please put your Consumer No.in the consumer No. option. Then the data available with APDCL, in regards of you, will be displayed.
  4. Put the data (such as AADHAAR No., Mobile Phone No. etc) in the correct places.
  5. If you find some incorrect data, then edit it.
  6. Then click 'Submit' button.
  7. A 'OTP' will be sent to your mobile phone.
  8. Put the OTP' in correct place and click 'Verify'. Your data sending work is completed.


IF SOMEONE FACES DIFFICULTIES IN 'ONLINE' SUBMISSION OF THE DATA, HE CAN WRITE THE DATA IN A PAPER AND SUBMIT IT IN THE RESPECTED ELECTRICAL SUB-DIVISION OFFICE OR MAY SEEK HELP FROM THE OFFICIALS OF THE SUB-DIVISION.

Notably, it has been observed that in some cases, the mobile number is provided wrongly, hence are unable to extend its service to those consumers.

Further, those consumers who fail to register their mobile phone nos.in APDCL portal, and not providing their relevant details within 15th July,2021,may be barred from electricity connection temporarily.
