Conversion must to smart card driving license in Sonitpur

Tezpur: The Commissionerate of Transport has, vide an order, made it mandatory to convert all old paper based driving licenses/ registration certificates of both Transport and non-transport categories to Smart Card (under Sarathi/Vahan) before April 15, 2020. After this date, all paper based driving licenses and registration certificates will be considered invalid.

Moreover, the office of the District Transport Office will remain open on all days till March 31, 2020 for the convenience of the public. Also, the registration of all BS-IV vehicles will be done only till midnight of March 31, 2020. After April 1, 2020 no new registration of BS-IV vehicles will be carried out in the district.
