Coordination committee meeting held of Lakhimpur District Tobacco Control Cell

LAKHIMPUR: The meeting of the district-level coordination committee of the Lakhimpur District Tobacco Control Cell was held on Tuesday in the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner's office.

The meeting commenced with Gitali Duworah, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Health), in the chair. Joint Director of Lakhimpur District Health Services, District Tobacco Control Officer, the principals of North Lakhimpur College (Autonomous), Lakhimpur Girls' College, Kendriya Mahavidyalay, Tex Superintendent, Food Inspector, District Manager of National Health Mission, representatives from Kalyani Mahila Samaj, Padumoni Jagaran Sewa Sangha along with other members of the coordination committee were present in the meeting. From the chair, Gitali Duworah asked the members of the committee to work dedicatedly to build a tobacco-free society. The meeting took a number of resolutions in connection with the proper enforcement of Tobacco Control Acts.
