Coronavirus: Jorhat administration takes preventive measures

JORHAT: The Jorhat district administration along with the Health department are rapidly holding meets with government officials, NGOs, health workers and members from various organization like Lions Club and Rotary Club on how to make people aware about coronavirus.

Isolation wards have been set up in Jorhat Medical College and Hospital (JMCH) and doctors along with two vehicles have been kept on alert while three teams of doctors have been kept on call in various locations like railway station of Mariani and Jorhat Airport to check people coming from different States.

Moreover, there is scarcity of masks, hand wash and sanitizers in most medical stores. The faculty members of the Department of Textile from the College of Community Sciences are busy in making masks for 1,600 employees throughout the State of Assam. After that masks will also be sent to workers of the Airport and railway employees of the district.
