Counselling held on civil service competitive examination in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR: Counselling session on civil service competitive examination "Goonj" by top country bureaucrats were conducted at Training and Placement Cell, Innovation and Incubation Centre, Bineswar Brahma Engineering College, Kokrajhar in association with district administration, Kokrajhar on Thursday.

According to sources at DIPRO, Kokrajhar, the session was attended by special guest Shantanu P. Gotmare, Principal Secretary, Bodoland Territorial Region, Special Director General (Admin), Assam Dr. L. R. Bishnoi, Varnali Deka, DC Kokrajhar, Superintendent of Police Prateek Thube, SDO (Civil), Bijni, Rahul Kumar and SDO (Civil), Gossaigaon Masanda Pertin.

The program was moderated by Asmita Rekha Bira, Circle officer, Dotma.

The program started with a welcome note by Dr. Kamal Kr. Brahma, Principal, Bineswar Brahma Engineering College, Kokrajhar. There was an interactive session of four hours which was attended by 350+ students from the institute.

The speakers shared their views on planning, time management, perseverance and dedication for preparation and cracking the country's toughest examination Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

Further the guests informed the student about the source materials (online/books etc) and subject selection for preparations along with the idea behind the whole preparation journey.

Thube expressed his view on how companions play a vital role in developing the ethics and peer learning along with the importance of choosing right examples in life.

Dr. Bishnoi opined that acquiring the multi skilled ability is the key for success in such examination and the students should interact with various people to get exposure and experience to career development.

The students' curiosity landed the resource speakers in a very healthy discussion and the whole audience was able to quest the thirst of knowledge from the speakers.

At the end of the session the organising committee and BBEC had taken the decision to continue to mentor and handholding of the interested students and to conduct a series of program both online and offline in certain interval.
