Couple Held For Their Alleged Involvement In Human Trafficking In Assam's Nagaon

Guwahati: Nagaon Police on Saturday apprehended a couple from Barbheti for their alleged involvement in a human trafficking racket.

The couple has been identified as Rezaul Hussain and his second wife, resident of Juria and were a part of nationwide chain of human traffickers.

According to reports, the couple were arrested based on information from sources.

Both of them, had been involved trafficking young women to various places across the country and they trap young women in the name of providing jobs and allegedly sold them off.

Meanwhile, both of them are in custody and an investigation is ongoing.

Reportedly, the cops have also rescued one of the victims.
