GUWAHATI: From January 10, the Assam government will begin administering the precautionary dose to health care and frontline employees. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma made the announcement today.
Regardless of their age, the recipients would receive the third dosage of the vaccination, according to the Assam Chief Minister. "Senior persons with co-morbidity & who have completed 9 months after their 2nd dosage, will get 3rd dose of immunisation from Jan 10 onwards," the Chief Minister announced on Twitter. In addition, we hope to finish both rounds of vaccine for the 15-18 age group within the next two months so that they may confidently take future tests."
Sarma further asked older folks with comorbidities to come forward and follow the doctor's instructions in taking the preventative dose. He further stated that older individuals who have had both doses of the Covid vaccination should be given the third dose after 9 months have passed after the second dose was provided.
