COVID-19 prevention: Kamrup(M) administration re-notifies numbers of IRT

Guwahati : The Kamrup(Metro) District Administration has, on Friday renotified numbers of the District Incident Team(IRT) members, set up for tackling novel coronavirus pandemic in the district. The District Administration today held an emergency meeting of the IRT. After the meeting the administration released the renotified numbers. Accordingly, the IRT’s Responsible Officer as well as Deputy Commissioner Biswajait Pegu’s re-notified number is 80112-155341. Similarly, the renotified number of Incident Commander and ADC Chinmoy Nath is 94350-34677. The Safety Officer and ADC Bipul Das’s re-notified number is 70021-97802 and Liaison Officer Kaustav Talukdar’s re-notified number is 86381-12297. On the other hand, in the meeting it was decided that the administration will set up a control for effective management of the Corona Quarantine Centre set up at the Sarusajai Stadium, Guwahati. Deputy Commissioner Pegu informed in the meeting that the IRT has been discharging its duty very actively to thwart possible outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in the district. Various topics regarding the actions taken to check the spread of the novel coronavirus were discussed in the meeting. The meeting was attended by among others, some senior civil and police officials. Meanwhile, the number of coronavirus positive cases in Assam soared to 20 as four more persons have tested on Friday.
