Shortage of Covaxin COVID Vaccine in Barpeta District

BARPETA: During this pandemic situation, people of Barpeta are now facing vaccine shortage. People are not being able to get vaccinated due to shortage of Covaxin vaccine. Most of the people said that their time to take the second dose was already over but due to shortage of Covaxin, they have not been able to get their second dose. Additional chief health and medical officer, Health and Family Welfare Department, Barpeta, Dr Pramathesh Sarma said that at present the stock of Covaxin was nill. Covaxin had been stopped from May 28. On May 28, all total 240 people were able to get Covaxin vaccine. All total 60,000 people are yet to get their second dose of Covaxin.
