DIBRUGARH: The 'Har Ghar Dastak 2.0' campaign, which started on June 6 intending to provide 100 per cent COVID-19 vaccination in Dibrugarh district along with the entire Assam, ended on June 27. Har Ghar Dastak 2.0, the COVID vaccination campaign aimed to ensure complete COVID-19 vaccination for all eligible beneficiaries. Health workers visited door-to-door to mobilize eligible beneficiaries to take the vaccine and ensure protection.

Dr Biswajit Barua, District Immunization Officer, informed that a total of 76,345 people in the Dibrugarh district were vaccinated during the campaign. The health department of the Dibrugarh district vaccinated the highest number of people during Har Ghar Dastak. In the 18+ age group, 2,628 people received the first dose, 20,030 received the second dose and 19,976 people received the precaution doses. In the 15-18 year age group, 6,572 people received the first dose while 3,697 received the second dose. Along with the above-mentioned ones, in the 12-15 years age group, 13,936 and 9,506 people received the first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccine respectively. Dr Rajib Kumar Barua, Joint Director of Health Services, Dibrugarh district said that the COVID-19 vaccination campaign would continue in the coming days and urged all the people to get vaccinated and become partners in the fight against COVID-19.
