COVID death toll reaches 37 in Biswanath district

BISWANATH CHARIALI: The death toll has reached 37 in Biswanath district as the number of COVID positive patients has gone up to 3,221 in the district. With 694 active cases, 416 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals while 278 patients have been kept under home isolation. However, 2,490 patients have recovered so far from COVID- 19 with a positivity rate of 3.72 per cent. Meanwhile, the district administration made arrangements to vaccinate 98,473 people till date though the second dose of Covaxin in the 18 to 44 year age category is yet to be given due to shortage of the vaccine.
