Covid scare in Silchar Medical College and Hospital

SILCHAR: The PG resident hostel of Silchar Medical College and Hospital was turned into an isolation ward as a student reportedly tested Covid positive. A source in the SMCH said, three PG students, all females, developed Covid symptoms like cough and fever. Rapid Antigen Test was done on Tuesday and one of them tested positive. However RT PCR of all the three students came out to be negative. This created confusion. However the SMCH authority turned the PG resident hostel into an isolation block. The last Covid patient was discharged from SMCH on February 10.
