Lakhimpur: Dr Jagadish Goswami, the Joint Director of Health Services of the Lakhimpur district launched the COVID Vaccination Amrit Mahotsav and Intensified Diarrhoea Control Fortnight campaign in a ceremonial programme held in the conference hall of the office of the Joint Director of Health Services, Lakhimpur District on Friday.

Notably, the 75 days - 'COVID Vaccination Amrit Mahotsava' commenced in the district to provide free precaution dose to all adult (18 years and above) eligible population at government COVID Vaccination Centres (CVCs). Being implemented in a 'Mission Mode' this special COVID vaccination drive is a part of the celebration for Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. The special drive is aimed to increase uptake for the precaution dose of COVID vaccine among the eligible adult population. Till July 15, a total of 8,39,317 people have received the 1st dose, 8,28,00 has received the 2nd dose while 23,385 has received the precautionary dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Lakhimpur district.
