NAHARKATIA: The second wave of COVID-19 has taken a terrible turn all over India. The numbers of COVID-19 patients is increasing day by day in Assam. The vaccination process for COVID has also not been running smoothly.
As a result of the rush to book vaccination slots through online portals and in view of the less number of immunization centres, most of the people could not book the vaccination slot online. Now as per the instructions of Dibrugarh District Deputy Commissioner Pallav Gopal Jha, in collaboration with Rotary Club of Naharkatia, Dibrugarh district administration and the Health Department started a vaccination centre in the venue of Rotary Club on Monday.
Total 150 people between the ages of 18 to 44 years were vaccinated with Covishield vaccine on Tuesday at Rotary Club Naharkatia vaccination centre. Total 150 people will be vaccinated at the centre every day through online registration process. This vaccination drive will continue till December 2021.
