COVID-vaccination drive for polling officials in West Karbi Anglong

DONKAMUKAM: With the Legislative Assembly election just a few weeks away, the Health Department of West Karbi Anglong opened the COVID vaccination centres for polling officers as per the guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India from Tuesday.

At Hamren, Deputy Commissioner Sayyad Isfaqur Rehman got vaccinated on Tuesday. As per the guidelines, all the officers who are directly or indirectly involved with the election process have to be vaccinated. The Health Department has opened 13 centres for the vaccination drive at Hamren, Boithalangso, Umpanai, Donkamukam, Tumpreng, Kheroni, Jerikending, Borgaon, Bhoksong, Phutsari, Umlapher, Mailoo and Rongjangphong.
