DOOMDOOMA: To felicitate COVID warriors, Rotary Club of Doomdooma, as part of its community project, honoured seven police personnel and the members of Doomdooma Press Club (DPC) on Wednesday at Doomdooma Police Station and Doomdooma Press Club respectively.

Seven police personnel, including OC Inspector Monomohan Koch, and the members of Doomdooma Press Club were felicitated with a phulam gamocha, a certificate and a bottle of sanitizer. In the meeting convened at Doomdooma Press Club with president Arjun Baruah in the chair, the newly-elected president of Doomdooma Rotary Club, Rotarian Bikash Agarwal said that as per the directive of the District Governor 2020-21 Subhasish Chatterjee, he took up this felicitation project along with all the clubs of Rotary International (RI) District 3240 on the very first day of the Rotary year which begins on July 1 and comes to an end on June 30 in the following year. He expressed hope that Doomdooma Rotary Club would extend its cooperation in execution as well as in publicizing the various projects undertaken by Rotary Club.

DPC president Arjun Baruah thanked Doomdooma Rotary Club profusely for undertaking this felicitation programme which would enhance the morale of the police and media persons in the fight against COVID-19.
