COVID warriors in Health & Police departments test COVID positive in Mangaldai

MANGALDAI: Frontline COVID-19 warriors in Health and Police departments in Darrang district have tested COVID-19 positive. They are namely Joint Director of Health Services Dr. Rup Lal Noonisa, Additional Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Prasanta Goswami, District Media Expert Jahnavi Devi, District Programme Manager Nayana Parashar, District Coordinator of Rastriya Bal Suraksha, Karyakram Ratika Kalita, Assistant Accounts Manager Jakir Hussain (all of National Health Mission) and Additional Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) Ujjwal Pratim Barua. All are undergoing treatment in home isolation.

On the others hand, till Wednesday, a total of 2,818 persons tested COVID-19 positive in the district. Of them, 2,177 have been discharged while 11 COVID-19 patients lost their lives.
