CPI Thowra constituency booth workers' Sanmillan held in Demow

DEMOW: The Communist Party of India (CPI), Thowra Constituency, in association with Anchalik Gana Morcha and CPI (ML), organized a CPI Thowra Constituency booth workers' Sanmillan for the bye-election in 107 No Thowra Constituency, at Demow Jyoti-Bishnu Cultural Building on Wednesday.

Moni Buragohain, district executive member as well as assistant secretary of CPI, presided over the meeting. Ajay Borah, secretary of CPI of Thowra Constituency, spoke about the aims of the meeting. The representatives of the 144 Booth Committees took part in the Sanmillan.

While talking to the media here on Wednesday, Krishna Gogoi, CPI candidate for Thowra constituency in the bye-election, said that there were 144 booth committees of the CPI in Thowra Constituency and preparation had started for the election campaign. He said, "The government is trying to destroy democracy and establish dictatorship. We will fight against this."
