CRPF Jawan Wears Army Uniform to Impress Wife, Picked Up by Police in Assam

Nagaon: In a bid to impress his wife and in-laws, a CRPF jawan in Assam's Nagaon district was caught donning the uniform of Army Special Forces. He was found roaming with a lady wearing the Army uniform by the military intelligence officials who later informed the police. 

After undergoing interrogation and verification, it was found out that the lady was his wife. The CRPF jawan revealed that he would sometimes wear the Army uniform casually to make a good impression in front of his wife and his in-laws. He was later released as there were no grounds for suspicion.

 "After military intelligence informed us, we picked him up along with one lady. After interrogation and verification, we found there is nothing suspicious and the lady is his wife," a senior police officer said. "He occasionally wears the Army uniform to impress his wife and in-laws, who reside here," he added.

The CRPF jawan of junior rank had joined in 2017 and was posted in a  different state. He expressed his desire to join the Indian Army.

"We have not arrested him and will allow him to go on a bail bond. There is no case at all… we have counseled the personnel," said the police officer.
