Cultural procession taken out at Nagsankar, Jamugurihat

JAMUGURIHAT: As part of the celebration of All Nagsankar Mukoli Bihu, a multi-cultural procession was taken out from the playground of Nagsankar High School on Thursday.

Eminent Assamese cine artiste Arun Hazarika inaugurated the cultural procession in presence of a gathering. The spectacular cultural procession was participated by nearly 5,000 people who proceeded through Natelia, Kacharigaon, Bora Chuk, Metera Gaon, Bebejia, Sola Sonari, Kumarkuri and Bahuwakuri. The procession concluded at Nagsankar. The Bihu programme began on April 16 with hoisting of the flag by Hitesh Barua, president of the Bihu celebration committee, followed by a series of traditional sports as well as literary competitions on April 17, April 18 and on April 19.
