Cultural worker Amar Das felicitated by Axom Krishti Bikas Sangha

BONGAIGAON: Axom Krishti Bikas Sangha and North Bongaigaon Senior Citizens' Association felicitated eminent cultural worker Amar Das on Wednesday. Hosting the felicitation ceremony, Basanta Kumar Choudhury said that Amar Das was not only a culture worker of Bongaigaon area, but also a poet, a writer and actor. "Due to ailments he is bed-ridden nowadays. Hence we arranged a felicitation programme for him today," said Choudhury. The meeting was presided over by Gopeswar Talukdar, retired Professor of Bongaigaon College, where several noted persons were present. Two other organizations - Goriya-Moriya Deshi Jatiya Parishad and Bongaigaon district Xahitya Xabha - also felicitated Amar Das on the occasion.
