Dance and drama staged on Bijaya Sammelan in Dhubri

DHUBRI: Various cultural programmes including dance and drama were staged recently on the Bijaya Sammelan which was organized by Kalibari in Dhubri. This dance and drama based on the theme “Shakti Rupen Sansthita”, lasted for about an hour under the direction of artisans Arpita Karmakar Majumdar and Sayan Bal.

Performance of all the young characters of the dance and drama overwhelmed everyone. In this drama, Dashmahavidya’s ‘the ten forms’ were depicted in finer articulation.

Before this, Bijaya Sammelan and felicitation ceremony was organised wherein Additional District Deputy Commissioner Nitya Binodwari graced the occasion as the chief guest.

During the Durga Utsav, various types of competitions were held in the Kalibari Temple premises and all the winners were awarded on the Bijaya Sammelan while presentation of dance and drama by Nrityangan Gosthi was praised for their efficient and better direction. On the occasion, secretary of Kalibari Trust Board, Ravindra Nath Roy, Treasurer, Arvind Paul and other office bearers were also present.
