MANGALDAI: Darrang district administration has completed all arrangements for the smooth and successful implementation of ‘Ayushman Bhavah’, a special health care mission, following its launch by President of India Droupadi Murmu. The District Commissioner Munindra Nath Ngatey informed that the campaign, starting on September 16 until October 2, will cover all the health and wellness centres of the district, including the civil hospital, block PHC, and the PHCs at the conference hall. Nearly 1,200 grassroots-level health workers who are to be engaged for the campaign have already been trained over the last couple of days. District Commissioner Ngatey further stated that the campaign will be conducted in three different phases called ‘Ayushman Apke Dwar 3.0, where E-KYC and the ‘Ayushman Card’ will be distributed to the registered beneficiaries. It will be followed by two other phases, ‘Ayushman Sabha’ and ‘Ayushman Mela’.

Five health melas will be conducted under each block PHC and the ‘Urban Health Centre’ on Saturday of each week under the Ayushman Mela. Moreover, health talks for awareness on non-communicable diseases, Ayushman Card, ABHA ID creation, etc. will be organised in all the 73 GPs of the district on October 2 in collaboration with the Panchayat & Rural Development department.

The district commissioner hoped that the special health care campaign would help the district enhance its achievement record in Ayushman card registration from its present 82 percent.
