Day-long national workshop by UGC on SWAYAM portal on April 29

Biswanath Chariali: IQAC Behali Degree College, Borgang in Biswanath district will organize a day-long national workshop in association with UGC-HRDC, Gauhati University on the topic of ‘Accessibility of Massive Open Online Courses through SWAYAM- Issues and Relevance’ on April 29 in the college in connection with the foundation day and silver jubilee celebration of the college.

The Ministry of HRD, Government of India, launched the SWAYAM portal for the accessibility of numerous courses provided in the form of massive open online courses, irrespective of geographical location, age and time to provide quality education among the mass learners. Prof Jogen Ch Kalita, Director, UGC-HRDC, Gauhati University and Dr N Amareshwaran, Department of Education, North Eastern Hill University, Shillong, will take part as resource persons in the workshop while Prof Dilip Borah, Department of MIL and LS, Gauhati University will preside over the inaugural session.
