Silchar: A two-day training on multi-grade, multi-level teaching in connection with “Cholo Sikhi Saathe Saathe - A joyful learning programme” was formally inaugurated by Cachar Deputy Commissioner Laya Madduri at the District Mission Office, SSA on Tuesday.
Selected Cluster Resource Center Coordinators (CRCCs) and District Quality Managers will participate in the training programme. Two key resource persons namely Sewak Kardong and Diganta Phukan from Jorhat, where multi grade multi level training is going on, will impart training.
Emphasising on evening learning programme with community involvement, Madduri said, “It has been started on pilot basis in 25 schools in 14 clusters. At the initial stage, schools with C and D grade as per Gunotsav assessment had been incorporated. CRCCs should involve community and ensure maximum participation in this programme so that children learn in a joyful environment. As an outcome, we see increased attendance, enhanced learning levels and improved community participation. It reduces school drop outs and creates a conducive environment for holistic growth of children.”
The Deputy Commissioner stressed on the systematic way to keep attendance record and monitoring of students’ progress. She informed that a reporting formatting has been developed by the DPOs, stated a press release.
