DC Pallav Gopal Jha Stresses Expediting Public Grievance Redressal Mechanism

Dibrugarh: Deputy Commissioner Pallav Gopal Jha held a meeting with the ADCs on Monday with respect to expediting the public grievance redressal mechanism. He appealed to all the ADCs present in the meeting to receive the applications for public complaints at hand with a high degree of seriousness, and accordingly make early arrangements for addressing their problems.

In the event of any issues being faced by the ADCs while making efforts to solve their grievances, Jha urged them to inform him about the same. The ADCs were also called on to keep a sharp eye to prevent instances of the general public facing harassment while approaching the DC office with their complaints. The meeting also witnessed discussions around several subjects, including improvement of transportation system, infrastructure development, proving information under RTI Act, granting of land to landless indigenous people, payment of bonus to tea garden labourers and stricter enforcement of ban on the use of plastic.
