DDMA organises Mock drill on earthquake at St. Theresa’s School

MORIGAON: On the occasion of Children’s Day, the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) in collaboration with Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) on Thursday conducted an awareness programme on school safety during emergencies commemorating the IDDR Day and NRD Day at St. Theresa’s School, Morigaon. The programme was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Rituraj Bora. DDMA also organized drawing competition and extempore speech among the students of the school. The students of Dharamtul Blind School took part in the extempore speech. Besides, a demonstration on fire and earthquake was conducted by Fire Emergency Service Station and SDRF, Morigaon. Later, a prize distribution ceremony was held.
