GUWAHATI: In a recent incident in the Nagaon district of Assam, a Madrassa student was found dead in the washroom of the institution.

The incident took place at a Madrassa located at Geruagaon in the Rupohihat town of Assam's Nagaon district. The deceased student has been identified as Irfan Pathan who is a resident of the village Geruagaon.

The family members of the deceased students suspected that Irfan was allegedly murdered by the authorities of the Madrassa.

The family further claimed that two persons are behind the murder of the children. The two people include one teacher and one student of the same institution.

The teacher has been named Mizanur Rahman and the student was named Riyaz Uddin. Riyaz and Mizanur are reportedly hiding since the incident came into focus on Saturday 19 February.

Meanwhile, it is suspected that the victim boy and the named accused got involved in a fight before Irfan was left dead in the washroom's bathroom.
