Dead body recovered from Sessa River in Dibrugarh

DIBRUGARH: A dead body of a 62-year-old woman was recovered from Sessa River at Aalijachuk Gaon, Kutuha in Dibrugarh on Monday. The woman has been identified as Pratima Gogoi, a resident of Aalijachuk Gaon in Barbaruah area. The woman was missing since Sunday. Locals suspected that the woman got drowned on Sunday after the water level of Sessa rose. "We have recovered a body of a woman floating on Sessa River on Monday morning. The woman was missing since Sunday. The body was sent for postmortem. It is suspected that the woman died after drowning in the river," said a police official.
