Death sentence by Justice Lohit Kumar Saikia to two for sensational murder case in Demow

GAURISAGAR: Two accused in the sensational murder case vide no 148(S-S)2017 were awarded death sentence under section 302/34 IPC on Monday by Justice Lohit Kumar Saikia of the court of the District & Session Judge, Sivasagar. The accused are Mangal Praja, son of late Titu Praja of Laguwabari Panju line under Demow Police Station and Pagha Proja, son of Bishnu Proja of Kacharipathar village under Demow Police Station. They committed double murder crime killing Santosh Proja and his wife Lilawati Proja with a machete on the night of April 5 in 2015.
