Debolal Gorlosa inaugurated Harangajao Sports Complex in Haflong
HAFLONG: Attending the grand inaugural ceremony as chief guest, Debolal Gorlosa, Chief Executive Member of Dima Hasao Autonomous Council inaugurated the “Harangajao Sports Complex” a dream project of the people of Harangajao in the presence of huge gatherings of people on Monday.
CEM Gorlosa was accompanied by Ranu Langthasa, chairperson, Amendu Hojai EM, Samuel Changsan, EM, Nojit Kemprai EM, Ngamrothang Hmar, EM, L. Darnei, EM, S T Jem Hrangkhol MAC, Manjit Naiding, MAC, Donpainon Thaosen District BJP president and others. In this connection, a public meeting was held where hundreds of people including Gaon Buras, youths and social activists were present.
EM Amendu Hojai, EM L. Darnei, expressing their great satisfaction over the support extended by the CEM Gorlosa on the completion of various development projects appealed to the youth community in particular to avail the opportunities provided to them and use the sports complex as their own and get maximum benefits out of this Sports Complex. CEM Gorlosa said the entire council team has been trying hard to end drug addiction among the youths by encouraging them in sports and other physical activities. All together 17 such sports complexes are being constructed in the district. He appealed to the youth community to avail the benefit of such sports complex and also to maintain cleanliness in the playground.
