Defence Research & Development Organization Human Resource Coordinators’ meet held

TEZPUR: Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO) conducted an annual Human Resource Coordinators’ Meet 2023 at Tezpur.

The event was organized by the Tezpur-based Defence Research Laboratory (DRL) in collaboration with Directorate of Human Resource Development, DRDO HQs, New Delhi from September 14 to September 16. More than 65 participants from different laboratories of DRDO across the country attended this meet. The meeting served as a platform for discussing DRDO HR policies and facilitated exchange of ideas for human resource development within DRDO.

Director General (Human Resources), U Jeya Santhi graced the inaugural function as chief guest. The programme started with welcome address by Director DRL, Dr DV Kamboj, who emphasized the significance of HR development in DRDO. In this three-day long programme, eminent scientists and HR coordinators deliberated on various HR related topics. Representatives from different technological clusters of DRDO presented their views on HR related issues and practices. Lectures were also delivered by distinguished faculty from academia from Tezpur University and IIT Guwahati.

Dr Sandhya Verma, scientist from Defence Institute of Psychological Research (DIPR), Delhi delivered an interesting talk on understanding psychological factors associated with human resources. The event concluded with a valedictory function on September 16, in which Dr SK Deuri, Director LGB Regional Institute of Mental Health (LGBRIMH) Tezpur, was present as chief guest. In his address, he shared his vivid professional experiences and emphasized the significance of HR and psychology in organizational success. This event served an opportunity for HR professionals working within DRDO to come together and collaborate for improvement of HR practices and policies for successful management of human resources working in projects of national importance.
