Defense Minister lauds Bihu performance by Sainik School Goalpara

GOALPARA: Cadets of Sainik School Goalpara brought laurels to the school by performing the traditional Bihu dance during a virtual programme organized by the Ministry of Defense to launch its revamped 'Gallantry Award Portal' on Monday.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, along with Chief of Defense Staff and all the three Chiefs, witnessed the programme. Sainik School Goalpara was one of the four privileged schools in the country that got selected to perform on the auspicious occasion. The Defense Minister complimented the budding cadets on their wonderful performance and expressed hope that the Gallantry Portal, which was launched in remembrance of our heroes, would inspire the youth to play a significant role in shaping the future of the nation. The SSG Bihu team of seven girls and ten boys was trained by faculty member DrSanjoyDeka under the leadership of Captain (Indian Navy) A Muthuraman, the Principal.
