Delivery Boy beat up by Customer after tiff over Rs 305

Lumding: A courier delivery boy of a private company was allegedly beaten by a woman with an iron rod at Samajbari area in Lumding on Saturday and was immediately shifted to Lumding Civil Hospital under critical condition.

The injured delivery boy was identified as Bishal Biswas.

As per sources, the delivery was attacked by the woman when he reportedly asked for the cash amount for the parcel of Rs 305.

On the other hand, the woman alleged before the police that the delivery boy had pushed her daughter, due to which was forced to hit her with the iron rod.

The incident had sparked sensation in the area.

Meanwhile, police had reached the spot and apprehended both the lady and her husband.

Guwahati: Guwahati Police on Friday detained at least 13 to 14 people in connection to the sensational murder incident at Guwahati’s Kumarpara area on last Thursday evening.

As per sources, police recovered several clues in connection to the murder incident.

Speaking to media, Commissioner of Police, Deepak Kumar informed that police is verifying all the angles in connection to the crime incident. “We have collected the CCTV footages nearby the ‘Jagadamba Iron and Steel Industries Pvt Ltd’ and verifying them as well,” said the city police chief.

Commissioner Kumar further informed that a special investigating team has also been formed.

As per Prima facie investigation, it is suspected to be a pre-planned murder incident, stated the police chief.

Notably, a group of 4 to 5 miscreants shot an employee at ‘Jagadamba Iron and Steel Industries Pvt Ltd’ from point-blank range at Kumarpara in Guwahati in the evening hours on Thursday.

The person identified as Shyam Sundar Ratawa was reportedly engaged in a heated verbal argument with the miscreants, following which one of the miscreants shot him with a pistol and escaped from the spot.

Later, Shyam Sundar Ratawa has been shifted to Marwari Maternity Hospital under critical condition.

Injured Shyam Sundar Ratawa, however, was declared dead brought dead by the doctors at Marwari Maternity Hospital.
