Demand for implementation of Article 244 (A) main agenda: Tuliram Ronghang

DONGKAMUKAM: Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) Chief Executive Member Tuliram Ronghang on Sunday arrived in a chopper from Jerikending to Arsongin West Karbi Anglong to campaign for BJP nominates candidate of 20th Boithalangso LAC, Rupsing Teron. A meeting was held at Arsong Community Hall under Hamren MAC. He was accompanied by MP Horensing Bey and KAAC EM Amarsing Tisso.

KAAC CEM Tuliram Ronghang informed the gathering about the achievements of the BJP-led government. "About 200 persons who lost their kin in the Autonomous State movement received Rs 5 lakh each," he said. "Demand for implementation of Article 244(A) is our main agenda and we have placed it before the Prime Minister and Union Home Minister. We are hopeful that our genuine demands will be fulfilled," he added.

He said that the three districts were already functioning under Sixth Schedule and there was no Panchayat Raj system. But the Opposition was trying to mislead the youths for political gain, he said. MP Horensing Bey in his speech praised EM KAAC MS Timung for developing the constituency.
