KRNC President demand to include one EM from Koch-Rajbongshi community

BONGAIGAON: "One Koch- Rajbongshi Executive Member should be included in the new government of BTC to be formed by the BJP-UPPL-GSP alliance. The Koch-Rajbongshi National Convention (KRNC) demands it," said Biswajit Ray, president of KRNC, on Monday in a press meet.

He congratulated the new elected government of BTC for victory in the BTC election. "We are happy for their victory and hope that the people of all communities will get equal right and respect to live under this government. We have several issues like giving patta to all Koch- Rajbongshi people who are living in BTC, preserving Koch- Rajbongshi historical monuments, rehabilitation of ex-KLO cadres and supporting ST categorization of the Koch Rajbongshi community. The UPPL and its alliance parties before election assured us to fulfill our demands and hence we supported them. So we hope they will fulfill our demands soon," he said.
