Demand to ensure safety and security of Hindu religious places

BONGAIGAON: "Attacks on Hindu temple, namghar and xatra have become frequent nowadays. But the government never pays attention to ensure security of these religious places. We demand that the government should immediately arrange to ensure security and safety of Hindu religious places," said Balen Baisya and Madhab Das, president and secretary of Hindu Yuba Chatra Parishad of Assam, on Monday at Bongaigaon while addressing a press meet.

"The BJP before election had assured that encroachment in xatra land would be evicted. The government should declare before the next election how much xatra land had been made free of encroachment," they added.
