Demand to set up offices of IS, DEEO at Biswanath Chariali

Biswanath Chariali: Biswanath Zila Shikshak aru Karmachari Joutha Mancha submitted two separate memoranda to the Chief Minister and the State Education Minister on Tuesday through the Deputy Commissioner of Biswanath demanding setting up of the offices of Inspector of Schools (IS) and District Elementary Education Officer (DEEO) at the district headquarter of Biswanath district.

The joint platform of the teachers' associations of the district, Biswanath Zila Shikshak aru Karmachari Joutha Mancha stated in its memorandum that Biswanath Chariali was a suitable place for the teachers and staff coming from the remote areas of Gohpur, Hawajan, Kalabari and other areas of the district. Moreover, a large number of schools are situated in Biswanath Chariali, Behali and Gohpur areas and the district coordinator's office is also situated here. On the other hand, an integrated office complex has also been proposed near the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Biswanth. Therefore, Biswanath Zila Shikshak aru Karmachari Joutha Mancha urged the Chief Minister and the State Education Minister to undertake necessary steps to set up the said offices at Biswanath Chariali.
