BOKAKHAT: A field day event and demonstration on Boro paddy was organized recently by District Agriculture Office, Golaghat and CSS- ATMA, Golaghat under the aegis of Assam Agribusiness and Rural Transformation Project (APART) in collaboration with International Rice Research Institute (IRRI).
The programme was held in the presence of 33 farmers of the 2 No. Affala village, Bokakhat. The primary agenda of the programme was to create awareness among farmers about Bina Dhan-11. Efforts were also made to create awareness among the farmers regarding use of modern technologies and machinery for scientific production of rice.
At the outset of the meet, Block Technology Manager of Bokakhat Development Block welcomed the officers, beneficiaries, invitees and attendees and briefed about the significance of the programme.
Boichitra Hakmaosa, Agricultural Development Officer of Bokakhat Circle gave her valuable remarks over the performance of demonstrations and advised the farmers to reduce cost of cultivation for maximizing profit in rice, stated a press release.
