Demow Development Block Office Hosts Amrit Kalash Yatra Program with Grand Cultural Procession

DEMOW: Under the patronage of Demow Development Block Office in Demow Jyoti Bishnu Cultural Building, Mur Mati Mur Desh Amrit Kalash Yatra programme was organized on Friday. The soil for Amrit Kalash were collected from 20 Gaon Panchayats under Demow Development Block Office. A cultural procession was taken out in Demow on Friday where the Panchayats representatives of 20 Gaon Panchayats of Thowra Constituency who brought the Amrit Kalash and the self-help groups’ women took part. Later, the soil filled Kalash was kept in front of Demow Jyoti Bishnu Cultural Building.

In the programme, Thowra MLA Sushanta Borgohain, Dhurba Jyoti Mout, president of Sivasagar Zilla Parishad, Aswini Doley, Chief Executive Officer, Bihangi Bhagawati Das, Block Development Officer of Demow Development Block Office, Jaya Lakhi Chetia, President of Demow Anchalik Panchayat along with other dignitaries were present.
