Demow Police seized nineteen cattle, truck

DEMOW: The Demow Police seized 19 cattle and a truck from Demow Bhalukaguri and apprehended the driver and the handyman of the truck on Thursday. According to sources, a truck loaded with cattle that was coming from Tinsukia and heading towards Guwahati was seized by Demow Police from Demow Bhalukaguri. The truck was taken to Demow Police Station and the driver and the handyman of the truck were apprehended by Demow Police on Thursday.

A cash of Rs.13,000 was also seized by Demow Police. Saddam Khan, a resident of Doomdooma 8 No and Rohit Sonar, a resident of Arunachal Mido were in the truck. Saddam Khan, a resident of Doomdooma 8 No said that the cattle were brought from Tinsukia and heading towards Guwahati 9 Mile. Saddam Khan, a resident of Doomdooma 8 No said that the cattle were loaded by Nesar Ahmed who hails from Tinsukia and also said that another person named Saddam is the owner of truck who also hails from Tinsukia. Further investigating is on.
