Desh Bhakti Divas observed in Doomdooma

DOOMDOOMA: The death anniversary of Desh Bhakta Tarun Ram Phukan was celebrated at Chapakhowa, the headquarter town of Sadiya Sub-division, as “Desh Bhakti Divas” on Friday.

SDO(Civil) in-charge ADC Manas Jyoti Nath paid floral tribute in front of his portrait in the premises of Sadiya SDO (Civil) office. In his speech he urged everyone to follow the ideals of Desh Bhakta Tarun Ram Phukan. Tributes were also paid by Assistant Commissioner Parcia Khanikar, Sadiya Revenue Circle Officer Barsha Dowerah and others. The meeting was also attended by the officials and employees of various departments and leading citizens.

The “Desh Bhakta Divas” was also celebrated by the Tinsukia district administration in collaboration with the Tinsukia District Information and Public Relations Department.

The event was hosted by District Development Commissioner (DDC), Tinsukia Sushanta Kumar Dutta. The participants paid tribute by lighting lamps and sprinkling flowers in front of his portrait. Additional Commissioner Chinmay Pathak, Additional Commissioner (ADC) Pankaj Nagbangshi, Additional Commissioner Sontrishna Gharphalia, Additional Commissioner Leena Kumari Pawe, Tinsukia Sadar Sub-divisional Officer Nujhat Nasrin, Tinsukia District Election Officer Kankanjyoti Saikia, Assistant Commissioner Dipawali Kurmi and other senior officers and employees of the district administration were present on the occasion.
