Development projects, schemes reviewed in Dibrugarh DC office

Dibrugarh: The meeting of the Development Committee of the district for the month of February was held on Thursday at the DC office under the presidentship of District Development Commissioner, Sanjay Dutta.

In the meeting, the progress of the ongoing works being carried out under the various schemes of the Water Resources Department, PWD (Roads), PWD (House), Agriculture Department, Health and Livestock Department were taken stock of. Dutta directed PWD (Roads) to expedite the construction of the main roads of the town. Works that were going on under the PWD (National Highways) in the district were also taken into account of. Hazarika also reviewed the works going on under schemes like PM Kishan and Mukhya Mantri Samagra Gaon Unnayan Yojana of the Agriculture Department, and at the same time, called upon the officials of the department to generate awareness among the farmers regarding the ‘Grain Procurement Centre’ that had recently been opened in the district to buy food grains cultivated by the farmers.
