Devi Kamakhya Nritya Mahotsav on January 8 at Maa Kamakhya temple

GUWAHATI: The fourth edition of 'Devi Kamakhya Nritya Mahotsav' will be celebrated on January 8 at the consecrated premises of Maa Kamakhya temple.

As in previous years, the festival will be held on the auspicious 'Puhon Biya', the ceremonial marriage anniversary of Devi Maa Kamakhya immediately after the completion of the religious rituals. The festival will begin from 6 pm onwards, informed a press release. The festival is being organized by Kalpavriksh and Muktimangal, two forerunner culture organizations of Guwahati which are already enjoying international fame and recognition. This year's celebration includes recitals by Praveen Kumar (Bharatnatyam), Rahul Aacharya (Odissi), Vyjayanthi Kashi (Kuchipudi) and Rajendra Gangani (Kathak).
