DGP, Assam, Bhaskarjyoti Mahanta inaugurated COVID Care Centre in Barpeta

BARPETA: The Director General of Police (DGP), Assam, Bhaskarjyoti Mahanta on Tuesday inaugurated a COVID Care Centre at the Baradi Police Reserve in Barpeta. This 50-bedded COVID Care Centre is especially for police personnel who test COVID-19 positive. DGP Bhaskarjyoti Mahanta said that so far all total 1,700 personnel had tested positive in the State. Among them, 1,300 had been discharged after recovery while 500 were under treatment. All total four police personnel had lost their lives due to COVID-19 and till now 49 jawans had donated plasma.
