Dhakuakhana administration constitutes charitable unit to help needy people

LAKHIMPUR: The subdivisional administration under Lakhimpur district, in association with several institutions and organizations, has constituted a charitable unit named Sarathi to help the needy people of the subdivision. With this purpose, an account was opened in the Dhakuakhana branch State Bank of India in the name of Sarathi.

In the meantime, several persons and institutions have extended monetary donation to Sarathi through its bank account. Senior citizen of Dhakuakhana, Kushal Kogoi contributed a sum of Rs 50,000 to Sarathi while Binapani Foundation contributed Rs 10,000. Similarly, Dhakuakhana unit Lekhika Samaroh Samiti donated Rs. 10,000, president Ranjit Baruah and secretary Manoj Gohain contributed Rs. 10,000 on behalf of Dhakuakhana Bar Association while president Kushal Gogoi and secretary Basanta Saikia donated Rs. 25,000 on behalf of Dhakuakhana unit Other Backward Classes Forum.
