LAKHIMPUR: State Panchayat and Rural Develpment Minister cum Dhakuakhana MLA Naba Kumar Doley inaugurated the construction work of several developmental schemes in his constituency on Sunday taking part in a series of programmes.
On the day, the Minister inaugurated the construction work of the Teacher's Common Room of Dhakuakhana Commerce College to be constructed with a fund amounting to Rs 10 lakhs sanctioned under Untied Fund. Then the Minister inaugurated the construction work of the boundary wall of the Dhakuakhana Town High School to be implemented with fund of Rs 10 lakhs sanctioned under same fund.
On the other hand, the P&RD minister inaugurated the construction work of the Soti Radhika Bhawan at Bhimpora-Balijan under Boginadi area. This project will be implemented with the investment of Rs. 15,00,000. He also inaugurated the construction work of the Amkotiya village Yuva Sangha building and the library to be constructed with a fund allotted from Lakhimpur parliamentary constituency development fund.
Amid the series of these programmes, Naba Kumar Doley congratulated the newly constituted political parties of the State while replying to the question asked by media persons regarding this.
"I have congratulated all the newly constituted political parties. India is a democratic country. So everyone in this country has the right of thinking about politics and to form political party. I wish, the leaders, who have floated the political parties, can realize the aims an objectives of their party", Naba Kumar Doley stated.
Further, the minister reacted over the criticism and protest programme initiated by Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) on Saturday at Dissang-Tekeliphuta against BJP governments.
"The criticism made by the Congress leaders against BJP regarding the Dissang-Tekeliphuta Bridge over Brahmaputra, by raising it as an issue, is nothing but a matter related to politics. The people of Dhakuakhana have known what developmental activities were conducted by the Congress government in Dhakuakhana in a long period of 15 years and what developmental activities have been expedited by our BJP Government in four years. There are lots of problems in Dhakuakhana. The Congress leaders should raise their voice at Dispur and in New Delhi to resolve those problems," the State P&RD Minister added.
