Diamond jubilee celebration of Assam Chah Karmachari Sangha

TINSUKIA: The Assam Chah Karmachari Sangha (ACKS) is all set to hold its diamond jubilee celebration with a year-long programme in a befitting manner at Duliajan. Established on February 9, 1947, the ACKS- a trade union affiliated to INTUC- has present membership of more than 18,000 in 20 branches across the State.

In a press release, Rishav Kalita, general secretary of ACKS, stated that the diamond jubilee will be held in synchronization with 62nd biennial conference of ACKS central committee, sometime in February/March 2023. To commence the diamond jubilee year and also to constitute a strong reception committee, a public meeting will be convened at Bordubi's Tingrai branch of ACKS office on March 6, Kalita stated, adding further that the president and secretary of all branches of ACKS' no 1 zone, besides leading citizens of Duliajan and Bordubi, will be present in the meeting.
