Dibrugarh University Campus Latest Covid Update: The registrar of Dibrugarh University has notified that all persons who came in direct contact with the two persons who tested positive for COVID-19 are safe & the covid report stands negative.

In a notification, the university stated that "In view of the negative covid test results of all the persons who came in direct contact with the two persons of Dr Bhupen Hazarika Centre for Performing Arts, Dibrugarh University who tested Covid-19 positive on 22.02.2021, the Office Notification issued vide No. DU/RG/G.01.01/2021/4262, dated 22.02.2021 be treated as null and void.

Hence, all students, teachers and employees of the Centre for Studies concerned are hereby advised to join their classes/ duties as per the normal schedule."

Earlier on February 22, the Dr Bhupen Hazarika Centre for Studies in Performing Arts has been declared a containment zone after two female students of the department tested positive for Covid-19.

Further, all students, teachers & employees of the department have been advised to keep themselves in home isolation for 7 days and go for the standard RT-PCR test within three days.

It is to be mentioned here that on Sunday, i.e. February 21, according to a notification from the District Administration of Kamurp Metro, teachers of Don Bosco High School in Guwahati's Pan Bazar area has tested positive for the virus.

As per orders of the Assam government, in the interest of the maintenance of public hygiene and to prevent further spread of COVID-I9 virus amongst the teaching staff anti students, the entire area of the school premises has been declared as CONTAINMENT ZONE for next seven days w.e.f. today.

Further, the teachers are directed to attend the school for the COVID-19 test at 10.00 AM on 1 February 2021 to be carried out by the team deputed by the Joint Director of Health Services, Kamrup Metropolitan District For the purpose, the principal, Don Bosco School will arrange separate place outside the school campus

The State Health Department on Monday conducted the Covid-19 test on teachers and support staff of Don Bosco School, Pan Bazar.

The rapid antigen tests of all teachers and support staff of the school came out negative.

Earlier, all schools and all other educational institutes in the state reopened from January 1 this year with certain Covid-19 safety guidelines in place. However, keeping in view of the current outbreak of the coronavirus staggered classes were being conducted for the elementary classes.
